Columbus supports 22 institutes and centers across the NIH including the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAD), National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI), and the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB).

I implement and coordinate a range of individual clinical site-management activities and advise on clinical site start-up and relevant operational and regulatory issues including resource allocation, personnel management, and administrative issues.

We provide support to clinical research and trials; medical and biomedical investigations; bioinformatics and statistics; grants management and administration; scientific programming; scientific program management; communications and outreach; research facilities management; and medical information technology. Our researchers and technicians have supported cutting edge work related to COVID-19 clinical studies; HIV research; and human cancer and oncology research.
